Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangan model pembelajaran sejarah yang dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode R&D dan prosedur pengembangannya mengadaptasi model pengembangan Gall, Gall, dan Borg.  Penelitian dilaksanakan di Madiun selama satu tahun.  Model yang dikembangkan diuji secara teoritis dan praktis. Model yang berhasil dikembangkan yaitu History Work Camp (HWC). Model tersebut diuji secara teoritis lima orang pakar dan praktisi dengan menggunakan instrumen validasi model yang berisi format model, bahasa model, dan materi model. Sedangkan instrumen penilaian uji lapangan dengan teknik observasi dan penilaian unjuk kerja. Hasil uji teoritis diperoleh skor 3,72 atau HWC valid dan layak digunakan meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif dalam pembelajaran sejarah. Sedang uji praksis dilaksanakan kepada 48 orang mahasiswa. Hasil uji praktis diperoleh skor efektivitas model HWC sebesar 0,78 dan nilai t-tabel 1,684 lebih besar dari t-hitung 0,389. Skor tersebut menunjukkan bahwa model HWC efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif. Hasil penelitian ini memiliki implikasi yaitu pembelajar sejarah tidak sebatas hafalan fakta tetapi riset dan dapat dilaksanakan sebagai penjelajahan (avontur) bersama peserta didik.
