Pendampingan Penggunaan Mendeley untuk Meningkatkan Keterampilan Sitasi Mahasiswa

Keterampilan sitasi dan pengelolaan referensi ilmiah menjadi kompetensi penting bagi mahasiswa dalam penulisan karya ilmiah. Namun, masih banyak mahasiswa kesulitan dalam mengatur sumber dan menyusun daftar pustaka secara akurat, yang berdampak pada kualitas akademik tulisan mereka. Pengabdian ini bertujuan meningkatkan keterampilan sitasi mahasiswa melalui pendampingan penggunaan Mendeley Reference Manager. Kegiatan dilaksanakan selama delapan pertemuan dalam dua bulan terhadap 22 mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Bahasa Inggris Universitas Muhammadiyah Bengkulu yang mengikuti mata kuliah Scientific Writing. Metode yang diterapkan berupa workshop interaktif dan praktik langsung, mencakup pengenalan Mendeley, latihan sitasi otomatis, manajemen referensi, dan monitoring portofolio mahasiswa. Hasil pendampingan menunjukkan bahwa mahasiswa menjadi lebih terampil dalam menggunakan Mendeley untuk sitasi dan manajemen referensi. Kemampuan mereka dalam mengorganisasi daftar pustaka berkembang menjadi lebih sistematis, dan pemahaman terhadap literasi akademik juga meningkat. Mahasiswa melaporkan manfaat nyata setelah pelatihan, seperti efisiensi yang lebih besar dalam menyelesaikan tugas penulisan akademik serta berkurangnya kesalahan sitasi secara signifikan.
