Abstract

Acne vulgaris merupakan masalah kesehatan kulit yang prevalensinya tinggi pada kelompok remaja dan berpotensi menimbulkan dampak fisik serta psikososial. Rendahnya tingkat pengetahuan remaja mengenai faktor risiko, pencegahan, dan penanganan acne vulgaris menjadi salah satu penyebab masih tingginya praktik perawatan kulit yang tidak tepat. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan siswa sekolah menengah atas mengenai acne vulgaris melalui pendidikan kesehatan terstruktur. Metode yang digunakan adalah kuasi-eksperimental dengan desain one-group pre-test post-test. Kegiatan dilaksanakan pada 25 siswa kelas XII SMAN 13 Bandung. Intervensi dilakukan melalui penyuluhan kesehatan berbasis ceramah interaktif, penggunaan media audiovisual, serta demonstrasi praktik kebersihan kulit. Tingkat pengetahuan diukur menggunakan kuesioner sebelum dan sesudah intervensi. Hasil menunjukkan peningkatan tingkat pengetahuan yang bermakna setelah kegiatan edukasi, ditandai dengan peningkatan proporsi peserta pada kategori pengetahuan baik serta hilangnya kategori pengetahuan buruk dan kurang. Seluruh indikator pengetahuan mengalami peningkatan. Pendidikan kesehatan berbasis sekolah terbukti efektif sebagai strategi promotif dan preventif dalam meningkatkan literasi kesehatan remaja terkait acne vulgaris.
