Penguatan Literasi Sains Siswa SMP Citra Kasih melalui Eksperimen Elektronika: Visualisasi Gelombang Listrik dan 3D Printing

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk mengatasi keterbatasan pemahaman siswa SMP terhadap konsep dasar teknologi elektronika dengan pendekatan pembelajaran berbasis pengalaman nyata dan visualisasi langsung. Urgensi pengabdian ini terletak pada kebutuhan untuk meningkatkan literasi STEM siswa di sekolah-sekolah dengan fasilitas terbatas, seperti SMP Citra Kasih Ambon. Program Teknologi Elektronika yang dilaksanakan terdiri atas dua aktivitas utama: visualisasi gelombang listrik menggunakan osiloskop dan pengenalan teknologi pencetakan tiga dimensi (3D printing). Metode pelaksanaan meliputi demonstrasi alat, praktik langsung, diskusi interaktif, dan evaluasi menggunakan pretest dan posttest. Teknik sampling yang digunakan adalah simple random sampling, dimana 25 siswa dari kelas VII hingga IX dipilih secara acak untuk mengikuti kegiatan ini. Instrumen evaluasi berupa sepuluh soal yang mengukur pemahaman konsep elektronika, fungsi osiloskop, karakteristik gelombang AC dan DC, serta prinsip kerja printer 3D. Hasil pretest menunjukkan tingkat pemahaman awal siswa yang terbatas dengan rata-rata jawaban benar sebesar 53,6%, sedangkan posttest menunjukkan peningkatan menjadi 77,2%, yang mencerminkan peningkatan pemahaman sebesar 23,6%. Selain itu, siswa menunjukkan keterlibatan aktif dan respons positif sepanjang kegiatan. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran berbasis eksperimen dan visualisasi efektif dalam meningkatkan pemahaman, motivasi, dan literasi STEM siswa SMP. Program ini direkomendasikan untuk diterapkan secara berkelanjutan melalui kolaborasi antara perguruan tinggi dan sekolah.
