Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji efektivitas penerapan model Problem-Based Learning (PBL) dengan pendekatan Deep Learning dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar kognitif peserta didik pada mata pelajaran fisika. Penelitian juga menganalisis perbedaan hasil belajar antara kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol serta mengukur besarnya pengaruh model yang diterapkan. Metode yang digunakan adalah kuasi eksperimen dengan desain nonequivalent control group design. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh peserta didik kelas XI SMAN 2 Sidrap, dengan sampel yang dipilih melalui teknik purposive sampling, yaitu kelas XI 10 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas XI 5 sebagai kelas kontrol. Data diperoleh melalui pretest dan posttest, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan uji paired sample t-test, perhitungan N-Gain, uji independent sample t-test, dan analisis Cohen's d. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan PBL dengan pendekatan Deep Learning meningkatkan hasil belajar kognitif peserta didik secara signifikan dengan nilai N-Gain sebesar 0,427 (kategori sedang). Rata-rata hasil belajar kelas eksperimen (15,10) lebih tinggi dibandingkan kelas kontrol (12,79), dengan nilai effect size sebesar 0,784 yang menunjukkan pengaruh kuat. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa integrasi pendekatan Deep Learning dalam model PBL efektif meningkatkan hasil belajar fisika peserta didik pada ranah kognitif di kelas XI SMAN 2 Sidrap.
